Neva Hosking Studio
Neva Hosking Studio exists to honour the natural world that inspires it — through drawing, printmaking, quiet care, and a life shared with wild things.
Thank you for being part of it.
About the Artist
I was born in Western Australia and later moved to the east coast to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking, at the National Art School in Sydney. My work is rooted in drawing and printmaking, shaped by a quiet attention to the natural world — its fragility, its fleeting joys, and its enduring beauty.
In 2022, I joined N. Smith Gallery in Surry Hills with my first solo exhibition, The Last Garden on Loftus Crescent, exploring the delicate, luminous world of the greenhouse. This was followed in 2025 by Behind the Wheel in Front of the Storm, inspired by my travels through the gardens and rainforests of Far North Queensland, capturing the delicate balance of beauty and melancholy that thrives there. Both bodies of work reflect an ongoing conversation with nature — a witness to its vulnerability and quiet resilience.
These landscapes, moments, and encounters continue to guide my studio practice, shaping a space that nurtures both my art and a home filled with foster and rescue animals. Beyond the studio, I hope this work ripples outward: supporting animal charities, environmental causes, and helping others rediscover the natural world that sustains us all. Each piece, each gesture, is an offering — a way of quietly observing, gently resisting, and bearing witness to the fragile, precious beauty that surrounds us.
